Beneficiary of TechConnectED (Round 1)

Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) is a non-profit organization in Chow Kit, focusing on children’s welfare. They run two centers and a safe home, partnering with the government, corporations, and NGOs. YCK’s mission is to provide a safe environment and opportunities for children to reach their potential through programs in education, psycho-social support, sports, spirituality, and recreation. Activities include games, art classes, counseling, sports, and education. YCK addresses various community issues like education, foster care, skill development, and homelessness.

  • Fill up the form here.
  • Prepare the collection items to be donated. You may refer below list of items that can be donated:-

    All-in-one computers;
    Servers;
    CPUs;
    Laptops;
    Projectors; Flat-screen monitors; Flat-screen TVs; Tablets; Smart-phones;
    Mixed items i.e. cables, routers; home electronics.

  • Below is a list of items we do not accept:

    Items bigger than 50cm in size such as washing machine, wayer dispensers, electrical cooking stoves, etc;
    Light bulb;
    Sharp items;
    Dirty, infested, or contaminated items.

TechConnectED team together with ERTH will contact you for the collection time. 

For November-December 2023, we will be collecting between 20th November until 4th December 2023

 

If you are within Klang Valley and you are donating more than 3 devices, the collection will be free of charge. 

 

If you are located outside of Klang Valley area, you may opt for any suitable courier and courier your e-waste to the address below:-
Jalan Teknokrat 6 Ground Floor, G-3A, Kanvas Retail @ Prima 15, Cyberjaya, 63000 Cyberjaya, Selangor.

  1. After your e-waste has been collected, ERTH will evaluate your donation & will provide you the reporting on how many KG your organization has donated.
  2. Report on E-Waste Management by ERTH will be provided to you upon the evaluation is completed. 
  3. Management of e-waste is closely linked to Goal 3 (Good health and Well-being), Goal 6 (Clean water and Sanitation), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), Goal 14 (Life Below Water), and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

Based on the quantity donated, MatrixC will purchase a refurbished laptops & Google CEU License.

  1. MatrixC will deliver purchased devices to the selected beneficiaries. 
  2. Install learning platform and learning modules which we are partnering with UNICEF &  RECQA
  3. Educate students on how to utilize the devices.

  1. When the learing process has started, MatrixC will monitor the learning progress.
  2. MatrixC will also evaluate & do an analytic reporting on students reached and number of lessons or course completed on Learning Platform.
  3. Providing devices for educational access and upskilling aligns primarily with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education. It also intersects with other goals like Goal 1: No Poverty, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, SDG 5: Gender Equality and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
